Privacy & contribution terms

We collect the location, description and photographs you submit so administrators can review and, if suitable, publish the record. Your name and email are optional, remain private and are never included in public place records.

Photographs and locations

By submitting, you confirm you have permission to share the photographs. Approved photographs and exact reviewed coordinates become public. Pending and rejected submissions remain private.

Removal and corrections

Use “Report a problem” on any place record to request a correction or raise a location, cultural, safety, privacy or image-rights concern.

Retention

Rejected submissions and private contact information should be reviewed for deletion after 12 months. Security logs are retained only as operationally necessary.
